LBD... all about the fringe

FashionJan CorrellComment

Hi Friends,

Hope everyone had a great week.  Thankful for FriYay!  I have two upcoming events that will require a LBD, little black dress.  I love uniqueLBD’s and have several.  So before going shopping, I went thru my closet to see if I had one or two I could use.  So boring, right!  Well friends, I found one! The LBD I chose for the first event is anything but boring.  In fact, I forgot how much fun it is and remembered trying it on and twirling in the dressing room.  As you can see it is all about the fringe.  The brand is Kensie and I bought it last year and put it in my closet.  I only paid $24 for this dress, so knew it would come in handy in the future.  I have linked some similar fringe dresses in the gallery.  My Pour La Victoireblack pumps (possibly seen in an earlier post), are super comfortable for as high as they are and have great lines.  The animal print clutch was purchased in Charlotte last week at a fun boutique, CLTCH in Plaza Midwood.  I have posted some similar purses, also in the gallery.

Funny story, while taking these pictures in front of a large building, a security guard, asked us to leave the premises. Seemed very silly! HA!  However, I was standing on top of a large block of granite.  Mr. Silver negotiated for more time and was allowed 5 more shots.  We have not been run off a property in many years.

Do you have a favorite LBD?  Would love to hear about it!!!

Have a great weekend and as always, thanks for reading. XO

Checking in...

Hi Friends,

No, I was not contemplating hopping on the next train through, though the thought did cross my mind, after reading about this US cross country train tripwhich sounds like a blast.

This casual look is fun as I don't wear a lot of bright colors.  When I found this bright pink vest, I thought you might enjoy it too! It is a bargain!! Quilted vests are such an easy wardrobe accessory in the south, when the day starts and ends on a chilly note, but the rest of the day is warm.  As you may have gathered by now, I love checks and plaids and could not pass up this William Rast Navy/White Buffalo Check shirt. These jean/leggings are Calvin Klein in dark navy, and a good value too.   The booties are FtC (From the Closet), and are Sam Edelman.  Who agrees that fringe is fun??

This photo was taken in Pineville, NC and is a few steps down the tracks to a new brew pub.  A fun place to hang out after work with a couple craft beers!

Cheers to a great week ahead!

Thanks for reading,

Jan

PS.  The last picture indicates that I need to continue my Yoga practice as I had trouble staying on the rails...and yes... this was before the brew pub!

Hi Friends,

Hope you had a great weekend and that if you are a "football person"... your NFL team won and is moving on!  It was a warm weekend here compared to the teens the week before...so I decided the post should fit accordingly.  The feature is this wonderful gift,  of a leopard scarf!  You will see this scarf in the future since it's a classic...  Sole Society from Nordstrom... not on sale...but a great price!  The shirt is from Cloth and Stone from Belk.  I have worn this top, with various outfits already and can't wait to wear it this spring, with white jeans. The pants are Oh So Slimming,  (literally) from Chico's!  An absolutely great deal and they offer a great fit!!   I love to pair classics with casuals... and a little bit of leopard gives it the edge!  The sales are great right now... don't miss out!!

Hope you have a great week!

Be your awesome self!!  Thanks for reading,

Jan
