Wearing Summer White - European Knits

When I met Iana Boyd for coffee back in April I sensed a woman that is very confident and happy… and at ease in her own skin; very poised and had a quiet power about her. She is a woman that commands attention with her presence. Dressed in a simple, chic black knit dress, she was both inspiring and beautiful. I was intrigued to learn more about her and her company, BIANA, a woman’s clothing brand.

BIANA is sold around the world, online and in finer boutiques. You can find BIANA at Paul Simon Women, Tally Ho and Coco Couture in the Charlotte market. BIANA was founded by three sisters, who lived in The Netherlands, the US and Canada.  They all had successful corporate careers and a love for the richness of the world we live in.  All three have a great appreciation for the quality, craftsmanship and unique designs of the top brands and aspired to bring all of that to today's woman without the exclusive designer price tag.

BIANA was founded 5 years ago in The Netherlands and currently has dual headquarters in the US and the Netherlands.  Iana, one of the the three sisters, left her corporate career to dedicate all her effort into building and expanding the brand.  Also, last year Iana and her family moved from the Netherlands to the US and now live in Charlotte, NC.

The founders of BIANA have strong values, which they apply in every aspect of their work and life.  They are: Integrity, Drive, Respect, and Freedom. They focus on responsible manufacturing with a focus on natural fibers, which make them perfect for traveling; simply fold and go.

At BIANA they are well aware of the impact on the environment and working conditions in the factory where their clothes are made. They make sensible decisions about the origin of the materials used and the people they work with. BIANA is not only about looking good, but also being good.

BIANA works closely with an artisan weaving mill in Bulgaria. Having known its owner since childhood they are working together with a commitment to continuous improvement: ever elevating technology and working conditions in parallel. Needless to say, that BIANA believes that the world will be a better place if women have a stronger voice in society and puts a big emphasis on empowering women.

When Iana and I met she asked me to choose something from the summer line so that I might introduce you to this wonderful brand. I chose this beautiful set in all white as I believe that white is as fresh and cool as you can get for the heat of the summer. What I did not consider was the quality of the fabric…which I fell in love with. The knit flatters every figure with a quality akin to St. John. The day we photographed this look it was 100 degrees and I remained cool and un-fazed by the heat.

My first look was for a casual lunch with Mr. Silver near the beach. The second was for a fun night out in Charlotte. I am wearing the BRIANA Molly Top and and the Briana Pants. I have linked my shoes and accessories.

Upcoming travel, corporate attire, or just a casual look, Biana has something for everyone and I guarantee you will be as equally impressed as I was. I am so happy to introduce you to this fine brand and to know Iana… as she truly lives her brand… and it shows! BIANA is easy, smart and chic!

Thank you to BIANA for sponsoring this post. Until next time…
