Style Ideas: A Slip Dress At Any Age

Shame on me! It’s almost been a month since I posted and I have missed you. Although, I am popping on here to say hi, it will be brief. We have been remodeling a home, north of Charlotte, to be near our son and family and my Mom and sister. We moved a week ago and I was super busy packing and getting ready for the move. I completely forgot how hard moving is and did not feel prepared, (even though the movers complimented us on our preparedness, the day of the move.) Our next move should be easy as we will sell everything, or give it away when we move to our beach house full time. Time will tell when that will be but I am not moving for a while.

Oops, I digressed and this was going to be quick… back to the post.

I love slip dresses. They look chic and effortless but I really did not want all my upper body exposed and my “girls” are not easily covered. Therefore, I styled my look “my way” and put a simple white tee underneath my black slip dress. I feel very comfortable in it and chose black patent Brazil Buckle Birkenstocks to make it even more casual.

I have worn it twice now, and have received compliments each time. There are so many slip dresses available and I have listed several (that also come in various colors) for you. I always like to point out that I will earn a small commission if you purchase from the links.

I told you it was going to be quick and I am a woman of my word. I now have to go work on my closet as “someone” put too many clothes on one side and half the closet crashed. Mr. Silver came to my rescue and fixed it by the time I arrived home from appointments yesterday evening and I could not have been happier.

Let me know your thoughts on wearing a slip dress below in the comments and as always thanks for reading.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Momma’s.
