Style Ideas: Waves of Blue for Spring

Happy March. It’s almost spring and I’m ready. Are you? We’ve had three birthdays in February, including mine, some travel, and another birthday today. Lots of fun celebrating, as the three others were grandchildren.

My Mom, at almost 88, is also needing some extra care, and so spending a bit more time with her, too. We’ve had 7 Dr. appointments, tests and a procedure since the first of February. Things are getting better but it is that season of life. I feel blessed every day that I get to see her or chat on the phone.

The cake my daughter made for me: Lemon and Lavender… so very delicious!

Just In case you missed it, I included a couple of pics of my birthday celebration as it was #65, and received this fun Birthday Queen top. I felt it was too good not to mention. Unfortunately, it is sold out everywhere but stay tuned and I will send you a link if interested.

She always knows how to make everyone (her Momma) feel special!

Now on to todays topic; rich (deep) blue colors for spring. I love navy and these Ocean colored separates by Eileen Fisher are pretty close to navy. [Linked below} I have styled each look a few different ways from a business look, a bit dressier and casual, too. It just goes to show you how versatile, Eileen Fisher separates are. These seperates pair well with black or white as well as a monochromatic look; waves of blue. I just changed up my shoes mixed in a white Eileen Fisher top and my jewelry.

Speaking of jewelry, featured in some pics, I have an upcoming collaboration with BraveWorks which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that empowers women in Charlotte as well developing countries, including Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Mexico, Ecuador and more. The women served are overcoming poverty, trafficking addition, incarceration and abuse. They teach women, who become Artisans, to make jewelry and other crafts. They are then paid a stipend for their time and then BraveWorks sells the products to help support their programs and mission. They also help their artisans with a gentle re-entry into society through goal setting, economic mobility, spiritual growth and access to resources, all through an inclusive, Christ-centered approach. So every purchase helps empower vulnerable women with a brighter future.

I am very excited because I love to promote and/or give back and this partnership will incorporate both.

The BraveWorks jewelry is beautiful, and extremely well crafted. I have noted each BraveWorks jewelry below each picture. Each purchase comes with a card indicating where and who made it, and a little bit about them. Stay tuned, as I will be sharing a discount code in the near future, and remember this when looking for jewelry to purchase or for a gift.
