Accentuating Beauty: Dealing With Winter Rosacea

I hope everyone is doing well and surviving the cold, ice and snow. February is delivering its winter punch and we may be in store for more as that little groundhog, saw his shadow this week. I’m ready for warm weather and spring. Are you?

I’ve written about this before and will probably write about it in the future as more products are developed to help with Rosacea. Every winter, when it’s cold, I battle facial redness. And a battle it is. I sometimes break out in addition to the redness, but most of all, I cannot leave the house without toning down my skin. I look very flushed without makeup and some days, my redness is very difficult to cover.

This is my no makeup look. Definitely “rosy red”

Here I’ve added Lips, Eyebrows and Mascara

If you deal with rosacea, you know how frustrating it can be. Lucky for me, warmer weather and a little tan helps my redness thru spring, summer and fall. I use a number of creams and serums that help but it usually does not go away in the winter.

I was recently browsing in Sephora and came upon these products by Dr. Jart+ in the checkout line, and read about “a rescue kit”, which was just what I needed. I started using the products that day and saw improvements after a week, but the biggest help was the Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment. As you can see for yourself in the photo below, there is a big difference. Enough that I don’t have to put makeup on just to leave the house. Just lips, eyebrows and mascara, which makes me giddy with excitement.

Below is my lips, eyebrows and mascara look with the Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment. Wouldn’t you agree this is a big difference?

I highly recommend these products and suggest starting with the “rescue kit” to try out the products, at a smaller investment. And you might want to try the Tiger Grass Camp Drops too, which neutralize the redness as well. I plan to try them next. I want to mention that this is not a paid collaboration, however, if you do purchase from the links in the blog post or below, I will earn a small commission.

Hope everyone has a fantastic and (safe) weekend.
