Style Ideas: Another Statement Top for Spring

Please disregard the photo bombers in every shot. What’s a blogger to do!

Happy April. This year is flying by… literally. I do love spring and I also love statement tops. Last year during spring, I featured a fun statement top here. At the time, I chose white because I thought is would go with everything and it did. I watched for it on sale, because I also wanted it in black, but it sold out before I could order it. Lucky for us it is back this year, in a slightly different style, and this year, it comes in White, Black (which I’m wearing) and a new color, Deep Ocean Teal. I may pine for that color too, the rest of the year, but I only need black… for now. I should note that it does run a bit large, therefore, I ordered a medium. {Edited}And as of today, 4/6/23 is now On Sale for under $100.

My silver GG’s.

Last year, I styled my white top one way… while on the golf course. This year, I wanted to show you a few different ways to wear it. I hope you enjoy them all.

One item I want to highlight, are my new silver Golden Goose (GG) sneakers. GG sneakers are handmade in Italy and come in various styles and patterns. They are quite coveted by many people. I found my silver GG’s on sale 30% off on a resale sight. I looked them over very scrupruously on the site before buying online and made sure they offered a 14 day return policy. You can imagine my surprise, when the pair I received were brand spanking new. I was very excited as I had watched this style for a while but could not fathom spending over $600. I should share that I personally love my P448’s which are also Italian made but not handmade. I feel P448’s are a better value for your money, and I have included some shopping choices below.

I have to say that Nordstrom might need to shampoo their carpets. My eyes went there first!

I have to share a little secret; yesterday’s, Tuesday Tip on Instagram was what we call a fail. I shared how to make your tulips last longer or how to resurrect drooping tulips. I have used this tip (given to me years ago) repeatedly, without fail. The tip is 1 part vodka to 7 parts cool water, with freshly cut stems. Unfortunately, yesterday after several hours (all day long) and me taking a nip of the vodka, my beautiful yellow tulips were kaput. I even hurried downstairs this morning, hoping that they perked up overnight. Nope. So in all honesty, even bloggers fail. We are all human.

On Friday, stay tuned for my Friday “Sale” Finds as everyone loves a great sale. Right?
