Mimosas and Sundays

Hi Friends,

As you may have noticed, I took a vacation.  It was much needed, am very rested and heart is full after spending time with our children and grands.  Excited to be back!

We took a quick trip to Asheville this weekend and had a great time.  We love the downtown area, Biltmore Village, and all the fabulous breweries.  The West Elm outlet is fun too, if you love a great deal like I do!  The Grand Bohemian Hotel is one of our favorite places to stay.  I highly recommend you check it out!

These fun pictures were taken while enjoying mimosas at the Grand Bohemian. I can literally have a mimosa any day of the week, but Sundays seem fitting... celebrating the week behind, the week ahead and the little bit of weekend left!

This cute tee is from Target by Zoe + Liv.  My adorable black wrap skirt (frayed at the bottom) is by Cloth & Stone purchased at Anthropology (in the sale room.) Similar here.  These black suede espadrilles are Sam Edelman (one of my favorite brands.) My necklace is Roberto Coin (a gift from Mr. Silver), earrings are vintage Kendra Scott, and the matching clear bangle is FTJB (from the jewelry box).

I hope everyone has a fantastic week ahead and that you get the chance to celebrate even life's little moments with a mimosa.  Here is a toast to the week ahead, "cheers lovelies!"

As always, thank you for reading!

Make your own {Holly Jolly} Statement

Hi Friends,

Hope your week has been great and that your holiday season is starting out fun! Getting ready this week for one of many upcoming holiday parties and decided to put together a few different holiday outfits for you.  Two are dressy and a couple more casual and fun; Holly Red, LBD, Casual Plaid and Naughty!  Please check the gallery for all the details.

In my opinion, the most important point in planning an outfit for any occasion is to make sure that you are comfortable and feel great about what you are wearing! That way you can relax, enjoy family and friends and feel confident.  Then, as the night unfolds and you feel like dancing on the table, (if your host does not mind) go for it!  And have a holly jolly great time!!

Sunday Poncho

Hi Friends,

Poncho's are FUN!  They are so versatile and can be worn so many ways; date night, business, name it!  This one was such a find and is by SundaysNYC. It is made of the softest material!  LOVE. I bought it at a local boutique Luxe Angel Boutique but they quickly sold out! I can sure see why...I would have bought one in every color!!  Underneath, I wore my white Tees  by Tina.  If you have not tried this brand...DO!  It will become a fave and they wash and wear so well!

The boots are a staple.  When I was doing cross country travel...these were what I wore almost every a bit worn in but there is nothing like a good cowgirl boot to mold to your foot!  My bag is a Phillip Lim...I found this at Nordstrom Rack but I found the original on his website.  You will weep, if I told you the price I I will keep this a secret, unless you really want to me.  Last but not least,  Kendra Scott earnings in grey with gold accents.  Kendra Scott can dress up any outfit and pull it together.

As always, thanks for reading~

Until next time,

Celebrating Fall - Pantone 18-1340

Fashion, JewelryJan CorrellComment

Potter's Clay is the color I chose to welcome in fall this week.  So looking forward to the leaves changing and cooler weather!!

I saw this geometric top in a Chico's magazine in August and was not sure it would work for me until I tried it on in the store.  This top will be amazing with so many outfits, including jeans.  I also plan to use it for business meetings. The short sleeves make it wearable during the warmer fall days.  My black pants are also from Chico's and a wardrobe staple.  Neutral earth tones, including Potter's Clay, pair well with black : strong foundation colors.

The Tom's open-toe shoes were bought earlier in the summer and are still available at Nordstrom.  Planning to wear them with many more outfits this fall.

For jewelry, I am wearing vintage turquoise beads and bracelets, Kendra Scott Earrings (vintage) and Necklace and gold bangles.

As always thanks for reading~

Until next time,  Jan

Dress Up or Down

Fashion, Jewelry, Dresses, Purses/HandbagsJan CorrellComment

When recently in Texas to help my daughter and SIL after the arrival of my 3rd grandson, I was able to fit in a quick photo-op, which leads me to my next post.

A dress is one of the easiest wardrobe pieces to wear.  I love a simple, easy style that you can "literally" jump into and run out the door.  The nice thing about wearing a dress is that you always look a little "dressed up' for any situation; shopping, running errands or lunch with a friend.

This dress was a Belk find by Max Studio - Sophie Max but I also saw it last week at Nordstrom Rack.  It sold out quickly.  The lines work well with most figures and the fabric is light and breathable for early fall wherever you live.

If you look at the gallery, you can tell that my accessories dressed this down, or whichever way you want to look at it!
